Varun is a Film & TV Editor based in Los Angeles, who loves working on comedies with strong emotional spines. Varun recently received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Picture Editing in a Comedy Series for his work on the series finale of "Reservation Dogs". His work on What We Do In The Shadows was nominated for Best Edited Comedy Series at the 2021 ACE Eddie awards.

 

Varun was born and raised in Bangalore (India), spent his formative years juggling corporate and filmmaking careers in Singapore, before moving to Los Angeles in 2010 for film school. Varun has an MFA in Film Editing from the American Film Institute (AFI), where he now also teaches. He is a member of American Cinema Editors, ACE Diversity Mentorship program, ACE Education Committee, and a proud union member of the Motion Pictures Editors Guild and IATSE.
